The Donegal Firefighters have raised over €750,000 in aid of Donegal Hospice and the Northwest Hospice over the last 14 years through their annual car wash collection which will take place again this Saturday.
The annual car wash collection is hosted by the Donegal Firefighters Association in partnership with Donegal Fire Service and will take place at all 15 stations across Donegal including on both Islands. The collection will once again be in aid of Donegal Hospice and the Northwest Hospice.
Michael Purtill, Secretary of the Donegal Firefighters Association explains that "this is an annual collection that the Firefighters take part in and over the last 14 years have raised over €750,000 for the hospices. This can only be done with the kind donations that the general public give in support of these important charities".
